Today's comic was supposed to be a double feature but I ran out of room. The other half was going to be about the combat reward code. It's kinda fascinating.
It does stuff with things before and after the decimal in a number (and does these things separately). PHP handles big long decimals with scientific notation. I was using the explode function, exploding on the decimal. Turns out small number divided by big number in scientific notation is single significant digit times ten to the negative N or whatever, and explode took that big old first digit and served it up on a happy platter to the confused player. Combat rewards should be fixed now! And especially unforgivable, as they were meant to. |
