All I need to do now is figure out why sometimes a line of chat is showing up a ridiculous and seemingly arbitrary number of times. Surely it's not being pulled out of the table so many times?
And then... And then I rewrite everything else in the game to be loaded into divs. If I remove child nodes, are they still taking up memory? I don't want it to just continue storing up millions of bits over the hours, no matter how little that could potentially affect performance. It's just not good coding.
